Draft Strategies: Tiers
A very useful draft strategy in fantasy baseball is to use the tier system. This method allows you to more clearly see the difference between a potential pick and the next best alternative.
Player Spotlight: Roger Clemens
The Rocket has not yet decided which team he will pitch for in 2007. He hasn’t even announced if he will pitch at all in 2007. If you read between the lines, however, it’s a safe bet to assume that Roger Clemens will be striking out hitters for a playoff contender in July.
New Environments, Same Performance?
Every winter, a crop of free agents receive fat paychecks from new teams (most of the time it is about the money, despite what the players say). Others are involved in blockbuster trades. This article seeks to assess the impact of these moves to a new team, a new ballpark, and possibly a new league.
2007 All-Sleeper Team
For those of you who randomly select players in the late rounds of their fantasy draft, I have compiled a list of my 2007 All-Sleeper Team. Make the most out of your late round draft picks by selecting players who will outperform their draft placement.
No Sigh of Relief
The most volatile position in fantasy baseball (and probably in real baseball) is the closer. Every year, a handful of “safe” picks end up performing mop-up duty. And every year, a new crop of unknowns steps up and shines in the light of the ninth inning- all the more reason to wait until the middle to late rounds to draft your relief pitchers.
